Job summary

Kinaxia Logistics Limited in Rugby seeks a Transport Planner to plan and execute cost-efficient collection and delivery schedules. You will use TMS and customer portals to optimise fleet deployment, coordinate with the Workshop for vehicle availability, and communicate plans to the transport team to sustain customer service levels.

You will manage staffing, including agency staff, and liaise with customers to meet schedules and resolve delays.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements, Working Time Regulations, Road Transport Regulations.
• Working knowledge of transport operation systems.
• Geographical knowledge.
• Health and Safety regulations.
• Relevant transport and planning experience.
• Analysing and solving logistic problems.
• Ability to demonstrate, understanding and apply our Company values.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute collection and delivery schedules via the most cost-efficient means.
• Fully utilise IT systems, TMS and customer portals to ensure efficient fleet and employee deployment.
• Work closely with the Workshop to ensure vehicle/trailer availability and communicate risks.
• Communicate and share plans to the transport team to maintain service levels.
• Manage staffing levels, including agency staff, to meet the daily plan.
• Communicate effectively with customers and handover to relevant stakeholders for delays.
• Plan operational deliveries for the following day and process bookings to meet customer needs.
• Participate in cross-training to provide cover in colleagues' absence.
• Drive continuous improvements to the operation.
• Maintain high standards of general housekeeping and safety.
