Job summary

JINGDONG Logistics in Manchester seeks a Transport Planner to design daily routes, allocate vehicles, and forecast transport needs for the Manchester operation. You will optimise routes, monitor performance, and coordinate with drivers, DSPs, and 3PL partners to ensure cost-effective, compliant delivery schedules.

The role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel, and familiarity with TMS/WMS and Power BI.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of transport planning experience.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.
Experience with TMS/WMS and Power BI preferred.
Understanding of UK transport compliance and driver hours.

Responsibilities

Plan daily transport routes based on order volume and delivery requirements.
Allocate vehicles and dispatch plans to ensure capacity and on-time delivery.
Use forecasts and data to estimate demand and support capacity planning.
Optimize routes to improve vehicle utilization and reduce costs.
Collaborate with operations, drivers, carriers, and 3PL partners to ensure executable plans.
Monitor performance and adjust plans for disruptions and peak periods.
Prepare daily/weekly planning reports with insights and action plans.
