Job summary

Van den Bosch, a major international logistics operator, is seeking a Transport Planner to join the UK team in Birmingham. You will coordinate drivers, vehicles, deliveries and collections to keep the operation moving despite last‑minute changes.

Working with UK and Netherlands planning colleagues, you will monitor schedules, respond to issues, and ensure compliance with drivers' hours and safety standards. A background in long‑haul road transport and bulk logistics is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Hands-on transport planning experience in a busy operation.
• Experience coordinating drivers, vehicles, routes, deliveries and collections.
• Understanding drivers' hours and Working Time Directive requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate drivers, vehicles, deliveries and collections.
• Manage changing schedules and respond quickly to operational issues.
• Monitor driver/vehicle availability against customer demand.
• Support efficient route planning and fleet utilisation.
• Ensure compliance with drivers' hours and transport regulations.
• Communicate with drivers, customers and operational stakeholders.
• Collaborate with UK and NL planning colleagues.
• Maintain transport records and planning information.
