Job summary

WSP is seeking a Transport Planner in Hertford to support active travel and public transport projects, developing schemes and business cases, and working within a multi-disciplinary team in a client-focused environment.

You will contribute to strategy development, engage with Local Authorities and private sector clients, and help improve project outcomes while benefiting from WSP's flexible, inclusive work culture and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in active travel, public transport, scheme development and/or business case development.
• Experience in developing transport-focused strategies, plans and policies.
• Experience in working with Local Authority and/or private sector clients.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to successfully deliver presentations to a variety of audiences.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the delivery of our portfolio of projects with a focus on active travel, public transport, strategy development and business case support
• Leading and managing tasks as part of a multi-disciplinary team and produce high-quality outputs in line with client requirements.
• Making a positive contribution to the commercial performance of the team, with the ability to recognise key metrics and understand how individual and project team performance contributes to them.
• Make an active contribution to our four key pillars (People; Clients & Growth; Operations; and Technical Excellence).
