Job summary

WSP is seeking Transport Planners to join our Transport & Mobility teams in the UK, including Cambridge. You will lead transport planning projects, work within a multidisciplinary group, and support business development across public and private sector clients.

Roles vary by experience but emphasize technical delivery and stakeholder engagement. You will contribute to strategies, statements, and plans across active travel, public transport, and policy areas while collaborating with Local

Qualifications

• Experience in active travel, public transport, transport programme/scheme development and/or business case development.
• Experience of developing transport-focused strategies, plans and policies.
• Experience of working with Local Authority and Combined Authority clients.
• Experience in managing and coordinating all aspects of transport assessments and strategies for major and/or complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Leading on a variety of Transport Planning projects and proposals (both technical and commercial inputs).
• Leading and managing tasks as part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering multi-disciplinary projects from concept to delivery.
• Providing specific support in securing and delivering work for our diverse local client portfolio.
• Undertaking Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Environmental Statement Transport Chapters, Construction Traffic Management Plans and Travel Plans.
• Leading technical discussions around accessibility of projects/sites for a wide range of modes and mitigations required for planning approvals.
• Leading technical review and checking of deliverables within the team.
• Working in a collaborative client/consultant environment and representing our values to clients.
• Contributing to WSP’s four pillars and supporting Leads in these roles.
