Job summary

WSP is seeking Transport Planners to contribute to a diverse portfolio of local and national transport projects in Norwich and the surrounding region.

You will lead transport planning studies, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and engage with Local Authorities and clients to shape strategies from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in active travel, public transport, transport programme/scheme development and/or business case development.
• Experience of developing transport-focused strategies, plans and policies.
• Experience of working with Local Authority and Combined Authority clients.
• Experience in managing and coordinating transport assessments and strategies for major/complex projects.
• The ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Leading on a variety of Transport Planning projects and proposals (technical and commercial inputs).
• Leading and managing tasks as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other WSP specialists.
• Providing support in securing and delivering work for diverse local clients.
• Undertaking Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Environmental Statement Transport Chapters, Travel Plans and related scoping discussions.
• Leading technical discussions on accessibility of sites for various modes and supporting planning approvals.
• Leading technical review and checking of deliverables within the team.
• Collaborating with clients and consultants, upholding WSP values in project delivery.
