Job summary

MTrec Commercial is recruiting a Transport Planner on a full-time, permanent basis in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. The role focuses on managing an established HGV fleet, planning routes, and maintaining proactive communication with drivers and customers.

Ideal candidates will have proven transport planning experience, strong costing skills, and excellent organisational abilities. Immediate start and a supportive environment are emphasised.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with HVG Fleet.
• Proven transport planning experience.
• Costings and financial experience in regards to transport planning.
• Excellent planning ability.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Knowledge and prior experience of curtain sizes and similar related aspects hugely beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Successfully manage an established and reputable HGV fleet.
• Successfully plan and maintain an HGV fleet.
• Ensure clear and pro-active communication with drivers and customers alike.
• Costing and planning routes for the HGV fleet.
• Ensuring excellent administration at all times throughout planning and execution.
• Laise with contractors as and when required.
• Representing our clients brand in a professional and diligent manner at all times.
• Managing sub-contractors when required to do so.
