Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an Assistant Transport Planner or Transport Planner to join its Bristol team. The role offers exposure to development planning across residential, commercial, education, healthcare and regeneration schemes.

You will work with senior transport planners and multidisciplinary teams from feasibility through planning approval, gaining client-facing experience and technical development.

Qualifications

• Degree in transport planning or related field.
• Around 2 years' experience within a transport planning or development planning consultancy.
• Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Experience using AutoCAD/AutoTrack/Junctions 10 ARCADY/PICADY is required; ArcGIS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Access Appraisals and Delivery & Servicing Plans.
• Support junction modelling and capacity assessments using Junctions 10 (ARCADY/PICADY).
• Produce swept path analysis and vehicle tracking drawings using AutoCAD and AutoTrack.
• Undertake transport data analysis and accessibility assessments using ArcGIS where required.
• Liaise with clients, architects, planners, local authorities and the wider design team throughout project delivery.
• Support planning applications and provide technical input across diverse development projects.
