Job: Transport Planner (6-month FTC)

Location: Peterborough (Hybrid)

Hours: Part-time, Monday, Tuesday & Friday (08:30 - 17:00)

About the Role

We are seeking a Transport Planner to join our Peterborough-based client to organize and manage daily transport operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of products across the UK. You will utilize the Paragon scheduling system to plan routes for pallet and bulk haulage, coordinating with third-party hauliers and internal teams to optimize resources.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and organize transport operations.
2. Manage driver and vehicle resources alongside local transport managers.
3. Collaborate with customer service teams to balance delivery volumes.
4. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and legal requirements.
5. Monitor KPIs, track vehicle efficiency, and provide performance feedback.
6. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

• Experience with Paragon planning systems and demand planning.
• Strong communication skills at all levels.
• Ability to work under pressure and take initiative.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and eager to learn new IT skills.
• Customer-focused with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
