Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting a Transport Planner at our Lutterworth site on a full-time, permanent basis. You will oversee day-to-day transport planning, subcontracting across UK facilities and planning workload for a mixed fleet.

You will respond to customer and carrier queries and support continuous improvement. The role requires strong transport planning skills, problem solving, and the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment; SAP/BPCS/ Road Runner

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy transport department is essential.
• Ability to plan daily workload for a fleet and provide cost effective solutions.
• Strong communication with internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day to day planning of the transport operation.
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple sites across the UK.
• Plan daily workload for vehicles based on and off site.
• Handle queries by telephone, fax and email from customers and hauliers.
• Liaise with Traffic and Administration to maintain performance.
• Create and update spreadsheets and databases for customer reports.
• Support fleet and driver training as required.
• Complete pre and post de-brief for driver shifts.
• Deliver professional internal and external communications.
