Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is seeking a Transport Planner for its Harworth site on a full-time permanent basis. You will oversee day-to-day planning of the transport operation, coordinating subcontractors and a fleet to meet customer needs.

The role requires strong problem solving, analytical and organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and effective communication across the business. SAP, BPCS and Road Runner knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy transport planning environment.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure and tight timescales.
• Flexible/adaptive approach for peak periods.
• Able to communicate well at all levels within the business.

Responsibilities

• Subcontracting and planning orders across UK facilities.
• Plan daily workload for a fleet based on and off site.
• Handle queries by phone, fax and email from customers and hauliers.
• Liaise with Traffic and Administration teams to maintain performance.
• Maintain spreadsheets and databases for customer reports.
• Report problems and handle arising queries.
• Support fleet and driver training teams as required.
• Complete pre- and post-debrief for driver shifts.
• Deliver timely internal and external communications.
