Job summary

Sheffield City Council is seeking a skilled transport planner to lead and support a range of transport and infrastructure projects across Sheffield. You will work with colleagues, consultants, contractors and regional partners to ensure successful outcomes and help deliver over £100m of transport investment.

Job description

Working within the Transport Programmes Team, you'll lead and support the delivery of a range of transport and infrastructure projects across Sheffield. Current programmes include:

• Active travel and sustainable transport schemes
• Public transport corridor improvements
• Road safety initiatives
• Traffic management projects
• Electric vehicle infrastructure
• Regeneration and growth related transport schemes

You'll manage projects from concept through to delivery, working with colleagues, consultants, contractors and regional partners to ensure successful outcomes. We're looking for someone with experience in transport planning, highways, infrastructure or project delivery who enjoys solving problems and working collaboratively.

You will have:

• Experience delivering transport or infrastructure projects
