Transport Planner

Location: Cheshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm (Office-Based)

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum plus company bonus

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Transport Planner with a strong understanding of the UK road network. The successful candidate will excel in directing drivers and managing delivery schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and schedule drivers’ daily routes and drops
2. Book and confirm deliveries with customers
3. Collaborate with warehouse and production managers for smooth operations
4. Provide clear instructions to drivers to ensure timely deliveries
5. Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies
6. Handle import and export logistics to and from Europe and other global locations (experience advantageous)

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Strong geographical knowledge of the UK road network
2. Excellent communication skills for liaising with drivers and customers
3. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
4. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
5. Experience in planning transport logistics and managing daily schedules
