Job summary

Culina Group Limited, via Stobart, is seeking a Night Transport Planner in the Doncaster area. The role focuses on coordinating day-to-day transport planning, using the latest TMS, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery.

Nights shift: 4 on 4 off, 18:00–06:00, with responsibilities spanning subcontracting, fleet workload, KPI maintenance, and peak-period flexibility. The ideal candidate has transport planning experience, UK geography knowledge, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Previous Transport Planning experience
• CPC desirable but not required
• Experience of planning 100+ tractor units across multiple depots
• Experience of using a TMS system
• Experience in an FMCG environment
• Strong analytical and Excel capability across standard formulas

Responsibilities

• Create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple sites across the UK
• Plan daily workload of fleet across sites
• Report problems and deal with issues and queries
• Plan collections per day on a time-critical basis
• Maintain and exceed agreed KPIs
• Proactively look for continuous improvements
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to tight timescales
• Be flexible and adaptable to peak periods and business needs
• Utilise Culina Group network to support Stobart volumes

Job Description

As Transport Planner you will contribute to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Working on a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off nights, 18.00-06.00

Salary: a3 30,000 per annum

Key Duties of a Night Transport Planner

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple sites across the UK
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and out bases
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise
• Planning collections per day on a time critical basis
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPIs
• Proactively look for continuous improvements
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Stobarts when volumes dictate.

Qualifications

• Previous Transport Planning experience
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK
• Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook
• CPC Desirable but not required
• Experience of planning 100+ tractor units across multiple depots
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
• Customer focus on delivery performance
• Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
