Responsibilities

• Check resource availability for the shift by reviewing the daily Manning levels
• Confirm driver start times for next day and update the system
• Manage drivers hours in relation to customer requirements and volumes
• Monitor and report WTD issues to the Operations team
• Ensure correct equipment is planned and trailer movements are tracked
• Review vehicle utilisation and highlight inefficiencies to Line Management
• Maintain effective two-way communication between Operations and Customer Services to address issues
• Monitor reports on driving practices and escalate where required
• Assist with Despatch and Debrief as directed by on shift management
• Investigate late or failed deliveries to provide root cause information to Contract Manager
• Update required reports/spreadsheets daily
• Complete end-of-shift checks and ensure shift handover is clear and controlled
• The shift pattern is Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm

Role Responsibilities

• Check resource availability for the shift by reviewing the manning levels on a daily basis
• Confirm driver start times for next day, updating the system accordingly
• Manage drivers hours in relation to customer requirements and volumes
• Monitor and report WTD issues and concerns to the Operations team
• Ensure correct equipment is planned, the system is accurate, and trailer movements are tracked and controlled
• Review vehicle utilisation, highlighting inefficiencies to Line Management
• Ensure effective control of drivers through on-going communication to ensure that performance is achieved
• Ensure effective two-way communication between Operations and Customer Services functions to identify and act on any potential service or cost issues
• Monitor and act on reports highlighting poor driving practices and inefficiencies, escalating where required
• Assist with Despatch and Debrief as directed by on shift management
• Assist in investigation of late / failed deliveries to provide root cause information to Contract Manager
• Implement actions from the Central conference calls as directed by on shift management
• Update required reports / spreadsheets daily
• Complete end of shift checks as required
• Ensure that the Shift Handover process and communication is clear and controlled

The shift pattern for this role is Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm.

This is a temporary to permanent role, salary of £37,000 and an hourly rate of £17.74
