We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Planner based at our site in Leicester on our contract with Kingspan. This role involves working within a busy transport operation, covering Monday to Friday.

Pay, benefits, and more:

We’re offering a salary of up to £35,000 per annum. Additionally, we provide 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), with the option to purchase extra days. Benefits include high street discounts, a cycle-to-work scheme, a workplace pension, and other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

1. Plan all orders and shipments for the Kingspan contract within the SLA timeframes.
2. Coordinate XPO's core fleet resources across all Kingspan sites using TMS and associated software.
3. Manage subcontractor planning, ensuring work is allocated through TMS with correct cost allocation and confirmation from haulier partners.
4. Enter all subcontractor costs into WTS.
5. Represent the Planning Team in daily operations calls.
6. Update the Kingspan Customer Service team with accurate and timely information regarding 'at risk' or 'failed' loads.
7. Act as a liaison between Kingspan CS and the XPO Transport Team.
8. Plan and update all collections on the planning sheet.
9. Proactively plan urgent orders and communicate delivery dates to Kingspan.
10. Notify Kingspan promptly of any changes or failures, including reasons, and re-plan as necessary.
11. Allocate all core fleet efficiently, ensuring optimal utilization.
12. Escalate any non-conformance issues to the Planning Manager/Supervisor immediately.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in transport, with a good understanding of compliance and driver hours, is beneficial.
