Are you an experienced logistics professional seeking a new challenge in a dynamic and collaborative environment? Join our team at Breedon Group as a Transport Planner and play a vital role in shaping the transportation operations of our minimix concrete business across the UK. We are looking for high-calibre individuals skilled in strategic order planning, workflow management, communication, and technology utilization to optimize efficiency and drive results.

This role is a temporary fixed-term contract ending on 30th June 2026. You will be based on-site 5 days a week, working 45 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Order Planning: Develop and execute plans for order fulfillment, ensuring timely delivery of minimix concrete to construction sites across a defined coverage area.
2. Workflow Management and Prioritization: Manage transportation workflows efficiently, prioritizing orders based on customer requirements, project deadlines, and fleet capacity.
3. Concise Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers via telephone and email, providing updates, resolving queries, and addressing issues.
4. Technology Utilization: Use transport management software and other tools to streamline processes, optimize routes, and track deliveries in real-time.
5. Collaborative Environment: Work closely with drivers and other planners to coordinate logistics, address challenges, and ensure smooth operations.
