This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a growing Transport Planning Consultancy in Leeds as a Transport Planner. If you are an experienced Transport professional looking for an exciting opportunity, then this position could be the perfect role for you.
Key role responsibilities:
·Produce Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans for development schemes.
·Deliver highways preliminary design and have an understanding of civils design.
·Working collaboratively with engineers and other technicians to deliver quality evidence led reports by a variety of measures.
Key skills, experience and attributes required:
·A minimum qualification of a degree in Transport planning or similar (Geography etc.).
·Use various computer software programs which will include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access), AutoCAD and more specialist software including; PICADY / ARCADY (Junctions 9), LINSIG, TRICS and TEMPRO.
·Knowledge and understanding of national and local planning and highways design standards and ability to interpret and communicate these policies effectively.
·Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and clients.
·Ability to work within a team and also able work under own initiative.
·Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise workload.
