Job summary

Culina Group Limited, the UK's leading independent transport partner, is seeking a Transport Planner in Goole. You will manage day-to-day transport planning, coordinate fleets, and use the latest TMS to create efficient routes across the UK.

Working 4 on 4 off days, 6:00-18:00, you will respond quickly to operational challenges, assemble 400+ orders daily, and contribute to KPI performance while supporting peak periods with flexibility.

As part of our, Transport Logistics division , we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Planner .

Salary: £28,000-£32,000, depending on experience

Shift: 4 on 4 off days, 6:00-18:00

As a Transport Planner you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Key Duties of a Night Transport Planner:

• - Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• - Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period.
• - Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• - Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
• - Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
• - Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
• - Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI’s.
• - Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• - Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
• - Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
• - Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate

Qualifications

What you’ll need ...

• - Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• - Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook.
• - Experience of planning units across multiple depots.
• - Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
• - Customer focus on delivery performance.
• - Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
• - Experience of using a TMS system.
• - Experience in an FMCG environment.
• - Strong analytical and excel capability across standard formulas.
