Job summary

Adore Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Transport Planner for our client’s West Horndon Depot in Brentwood. The role focuses on route planning, driver liaison, and smooth day-to-day transport operations.

Candidates should have traffic office experience, knowledge of driver regulations, and strong organisational skills. A CPC qualification and a full UK licence are advantageous. Regular hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, with flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan daily vehicle routes in line with customer requirements.
• Liaise with drivers to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
• Prepare and issue driver paperwork.
• Support driver compliance, including tachographs, drivers' hours, health & safety and accident reporting.
• Complete daily staff attendance rotas and arrange relief cover where required.
• Raise subcontractor requests for fleet work, including costing and obtaining authorisation.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are available for inspections, repairs and MOTs.
• Liaise with customers regarding changes to daily activities.
• Provide cover for colleagues when required.
• Complete general administration and other ad hoc duties.

Transport Planner

Location: West Horndon Depot, Brentwood

Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 per year, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm ( can be flexible)

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy Transport Planning team based at our clients West Horndon Depot.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous traffic office experience who enjoys route planning, working closely with drivers and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of a transport operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan daily vehicle routes in line with customer requirements.


• Liaise with drivers to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.


• Prepare and issue driver paperwork.


• Support driver compliance, including tachographs, drivers' hours, health & safety and accident reporting.

• CPC qualification would be advantageous.
