Job summary

Mosaic Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Transport Planner for a busy operation in Ascot on a 6-month contract, with a likely path to permanency. The role involves scheduling, route planning and coordinating engineers across a fast-paced helpdesk environment.

You will plan daily vehicle movements, allocate jobs by priority, respond to urgent requests, monitor schedules and communicate with drivers and customers to maintain high service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, route or resource planning.
• Strong geographical and route-planning knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
• Confident communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and strong IT skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions when plans change unexpectedly.
• Experience working with drivers, field-based teams or operational resources.
• Experience in reactive services, utilities, construction logistics, haulage, distribution or another fast-moving transport environment.

Transport Planner - 6 month contract, likely to go permanent

We're looking for Transport Planners to join a busy, fast-paced operation where no two days are the same. If you have experience scheduling, route planning or managing engineers across a helpdesk then please apply.

Shifts are:

4 on 8am - 6pm

4 off

4 on midday - 10pm

The role

You will be responsible for:

• Responding quickly to urgent requests and changing circumstances
• Monitoring schedules and resolving delays or potential service issues
• Maintaining regular communication with drivers, customers and operational teams

• Keeping planning systems and operational records accurate and up to date
• Identifying ways to improve routes, productivity and service levels
• Supporting a smooth handover between shifts where required

About you
