Job summary

Bis Henderson is recruiting a Transport Supervisor in Sutton in Ashfield to oversee day-to-day transport operations for a major client. The role involves managing administrators, payroll, driver holidays, and safety oversight to ensure smooth delivery and compliance.

You will lead driver performance improvements, maintain records, and support recruitment activities while working on a tight schedule from Monday to Friday, with a focus on accuracy and team coordination.

Qualifications

• CPC and International CPC desirable.
• Experience in a 3rd party haulage environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with cost budgeting and financial control within a profit & loss environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate Administrators to support team deliverables.
• Process driver payroll weekly to provide accurate information to the finance team.
• Approve driver holidays with planning tool to ensure complete coverage.
• Manage driver welfare and safety with regular 1-2-1 meetings.
• Motivate, engage and debrief drivers and build trust-based relationships.
• Address driver performance issues, keep records, and ensure fair processes.
