Job summary

Vincere is seeking an experienced Transport Operator in Ipswich to support day-to-day transport operations and manage a fleet of up to 30 trucks. You will ensure deliveries are completed safely, compliantly, and on time, coordinating movements and liaising with customers, depots, and internal teams.

The role requires strong organisation, excellent communication, and proficiency with TMS/WMS systems. Hours are 08:00–17:00, Monday to Friday, with training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport/logistics operations.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Familiarity with TMS/WMS and transport IT systems.
• Candidate may be working towards a Transport Manager qualification.

Responsibilities

• Brief drivers and monitor live jobs/ETAs.
• Coordinate daily vehicle movements (up to 30 trucks).
• Maintain accurate TMS/WMS/POD updates.
• Liaise with customers, depots, and internal teams.
• Prepare and manage transport paperwork/records.
• Support driver debriefs and fleet admin.
• Manage delays/issues and keep customers informed.
• Support compliance and best practice (hours, checks, docs).
