Job summary

Superdrug is seeking a Transport Administrator/Operator to join our UK transport team. You will handle daily briefings, liaise with departments, and ensure timely and compliant operations within a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 12 months of admin or transport experience; Telematics knowledge is a plus. The role features a 40-hour week on a 4x10 rota with a salary of £32,270 and a strong emphasis on health and safety.

Qualifications

• 12 months administrator or operator experience within a transport environment (essential)
• Experience of Telematics and Transport Management Systems would be an advantage
• Flexible approach to performing other duties within the transport operation as requested by your Line Manager
• Attention to detail
• Confident and calm approach to deal with general transport challenges
• Excellent time and attendance record
• Good teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work on your own
• Always demonstrate and maintain a high level of health and safety awareness within Transport, ensuring own safety and the safety of others. Adopting the ASW, H&S Values: Always Safe at work; think smart, think safe.

Responsibilities

• Full briefing and debriefing of driving teams to ensure communication of vital information and feedback captured
• Preparing store bags and updating store instructions
• Communicating with all required departments and support functions to ensure a smooth and timely operation
• Ensure vehicles and trailers are road legal by following site defect processes
• Provide first line contact for driving teams in the event of delivery queries, breakdowns, or emergency incidents
• Engaging with maintenance and breakdown services to assist breakdowns and recoveries
• Provide first line contact with stores in the event of schedule changes, delays and failures
• Supporting other transport functions, holiday and absence cover when required

Hours: 40| The hours will be 4 x 10hrs, on a 4 out of 7-day rota subject to requirements between 6am - 4pm or 10am - 8pm (inc weekends and bank holidays).
