Job summary

Superdrug is hiring a Transport Administrator in Northampton to support day-to-day operations, driver communications, and schedule management. You will help maintain transport records, assist in incident response, and ensure compliance with vehicle and defect procedures.

The role requires around 40 hours per week, with shifts from 2pm to 10pm, and a focus on accuracy, teamwork, and safety. Experience in transport environments is preferred, with Telematics knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• 12 months admin or operator experience within a transport environment.
• Experience of Telematics and Transport Management Systems is advantageous.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
• Good teamwork and the ability to work independently when needed.
• Commitment to health and safety standards within Transport.

Here's the exciting bit...a day includes

• Full briefing and debriefing of driving teams to ensure communication of vital information and feedback captured
• Preparing store bags and updating store instructions
• Communicating with all required departments and support functions to ensure a smooth and timely operation
• Ensure vehicles and trailers are road legal by following site defect processes
• Provide first line contact for driving teams in the event of delivery queries, breakdowns, or emergency incidents
• Engaging with maintenance and breakdown services to assist breakdowns and recoveries
• Provide first line contact with stores in the event of schedule changes, delays and failures
• Supporting other transport functions, holiday and absence cover when required

What you'll need:

• 12 months previous administrator or operator experience within a transport environment (essential)
• Experience of Telematics and Transport Management Systems would be an advantage
• Flexible approach to performing other duties within the transport operation as requested by your Line Manager
• Attention to detail
• Confident and calm approach to deal with general transport challenges
• Excellent time and attendance record
• Good teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work on your own

Hours: 40| The hours will be 5x 8 hour shifts, on a 5 out of 7-day rota subject to requirements between 2pm - 10pm (inc weekends and bank holidays).
