Job summary

Gregory Distribution is seeking an enthusiastic Transport Operator to join our transport team. You will handle daily transport administration, raise purchase orders, and ensure timely entry of TMS records.

The role includes driver debriefs, resource optimisation, and handling queries by various channels. The ideal candidate has strong organisational skills, good UK geography knowledge, and proficient MS Office usage.

• Experience in transport or logistics administration is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent communication across levels and teams.

Responsibilities

• Organise daily transport administration tasks, raise POs, scan and file transport information.
• Ensure TMS jobs are entered accurately and kept up to date.
• Conduct daily driver debriefs and manage driver communications.
• Maximise resource utilisation for accurate scanning and filing.
• Handle queries via email, phone and in person.
• Assist in KPI production and daily statistics.

Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic Transport Operator to join our team. This position will be working within the transport team and will involve all aspects of the transport administration processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Organising: Completing daily transport administration tasks, raising PO's, scanning and filing of transport information.
• Freight Management: Ensuring timings and information of TMS jobs are entered into the internal systems and that they are up to date.
• Driver Management: Daily debriefs for drivers.
• Resource Utilisation: Maximising the use of resources to ensure scanning and filing are accurate.
• Communication: Handling queries via email, phone, and face-to-face.
• KPI Production: Assisting in the production of KPIs and daily statistics.
• Previous administration experience working within the Transport and Logistics industry is desirable.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail is critical to work towards daily deadlines.
• Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Competitive Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Hours: 06:00hrs-18:00hrs, based on a 4on4off rota.
