Yusen Logistics is seeking a Transport Operator based at Panattoni Park (NN7 4DE). You will manage daily transport delivery and collection plans within a dedicated team.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday 13:00–21:30 with 1 in 4 Saturdays. Salary is £30,274.8 plus £832 shift allowance per year, commensurate with experience.

Qualifikationen

• Basic knowledge of Road Traffic Legislation.
• Sound knowledge of Drivers’ Hours Legislation.
• Ability to work under pressure & deadlines.
• Proven experience in a Transport office.
• IT literate (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Aufgaben

• Timely allocation of resource and despatch of drivers in accordance with daily traffic plan.
• Liaise daily with the planning department on driver availability.
• Brief and debrief the Drivers.
• Ensure all pre-use vehicle checks are completed and defects resolved promptly.
• Answer incoming calls from drivers in traffic office and follow Stop Call Wait procedures.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures, including PPE, and escalate concerns.
• Communicate delays or failures to Contract Managers as required.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Transport Operator based at our Panattoni Park (NN7 4DE). Working within a dedicated team, you will be responsible for actioning the daily transport delivery and collection plan.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 21:30. Due to business requirements, you will also be required to work 1 in every 4 Saturdays. The role offers a Salary of £30,274.8 Plus £832 shift allowance per annum on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• - Timely allocation of resource and despatch of drivers in accordance with daily traffic plan
• - To liaise daily with the planning department on driver availability
• - Brief and debrief the Drivers
• - Ensure all pre-use vehicle checks are completed and if necessary, any reported defects are resolved within a timely manner
• - To answer incoming telephone calls from drivers into the traffic office and following Stop Call Wait procedures.
• - Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity
• - To communicate any delays or failures to Contract Managers where required
