Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking a Transport Operator based at Panattoni Park (NN7 4DE). The role is full-time and permanent, with Monday–Friday 13:00–21:30 and one Saturday in four. Salary is £30,274.8 plus £832 shift allowance per year, with potential for experience-based adjustments.

You will coordinate transport delivery and collection, work with planning, brief drivers, and uphold health and safety standards while liaising with managers on delays or issues.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Road Traffic Legislation.
• Sound knowledge of Drivers’ Hours Legislation.
• Ability to work under pressure & to deadlines.
• Proven Problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Timely allocation of resource and despatch of drivers in accordance with daily traffic plan.
• Liaise daily with the planning department on driver availability.
• Brief and debrief the Drivers.
• Ensure all pre-use vehicle checks are completed and if necessary, any reported defects are resolved within a timely manner.
• To answer incoming telephone calls from drivers into the traffic office and following Stop Call Wait procedures.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity.
• To communicate any delays or failures to Contract Managers where required.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Transport Operator based at our Panattoni Park (NN7 4DE). Working within a dedicated team, you will be responsible for actioning the daily transport delivery and collection plan. This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday from 13:00 to 21:30. Due to business requirements, you will also be required to work 1 in every 4 Saturdays. The role offers a Salary of £30,274.8 Plus £832 shift allowance per annum on experience.
