The Opportunity

Are you a seasoned Transport Manager with a passion for logistics, operational efficiency, driving change, and leading people? This role involves managing the delivery of high-quality products to major retailers and outlets across the UK.

As Transport Manager, you will oversee our hubs in the Southwest (Bristol and Callington), managing a fleet of 31 trucks and 46 trailers, along with a team of 66 drivers and 12 warehouse operatives, with experience in chilled food distribution.

The Person we need

We value collaboration and diversity. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teamwork and possess the following skills and experience:

• Flexibility to travel between Bristol, Callington, and Leicester.
• Hold a National CPC and have solid knowledge of HGV and driver compliance.
• Have a Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely.
• Possess an understanding of food safety related to short life chilled products and hold a HACCP Level 3 qualification.
• Be a confident leader who motivates positively with high moral standards.

What you will be doing:

• Hold Operator License Responsibility for Callington and Bristol, ensuring legal compliance.
• Ensure product and people safety compliance, including adherence to BRC standards and health and safety regulations.
• Lead and develop the team of Shift Managers.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Track and report KPIs, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Manage costs and control budgets.
