This is an established, niche insurer offering a fully remote role, allowing you to work from home every day.

As part of the 2nd line, you’ll partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.

You’ll oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making, especially regarding operational and conduct risks. You’ll support the enhancement of the company’s risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and conduct risk appetite monitoring with 1st line stakeholders.

You’ll help prepare and deliver risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulatory bodies as needed.

There is ample opportunity to shape the role and contribute to developing the risk culture across the business by continually challenging the status quo.

Ideal candidates will be experienced Risk professionals from the Financial Services sector, with broad risk experience across multiple disciplines including Operational and Conduct Risk. Previous insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.

You should have experience in developing risk assessments, executing RCSAs, and possess an analytical, curious mindset with a willingness to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential.
