Job summary

You will monitor KPI performance, optimise routes and fleet utilisation, and work closely with stakeholders to support growth while maintaining high service standards and compliance with health and safety legislation.

Qualifications

• Experience as Transport Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of transport operations, fleet management and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing drivers and leading high-performing operational teams.
• Commercial awareness with ability to balance service, cost and efficiency.
• Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities would be advantageous.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day transport operations to ensure high levels of service and operational efficiency.
• Leading and developing a team of drivers, promoting performance, engagement and compliance.
• Monitoring transport KPIs and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Driving route optimisation and fleet utilisation to maximise operational effectiveness.
• Managing transport compliance, vehicle maintenance and health & safety standards.
• Producing operational reports and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to enhance processes, systems and customer service delivery.
• Supporting fleet growth and wider transport development projects.
