Job summary

The position operates on a 4 on 4 off days schedule (06:00–18:00) and requires coordination with loading/unloading operations, adherence to drivers’ hours rules, and delivery of specified service

Responsibilities

• Allocate both drivers and vehicles to loads efficiently, considering holidays, sickness, drivers’ hours and WTD regulations.
• Plan driver start times to meet site despatch KPIs.
• Communicate with third party hauliers to ensure collection times are met.
• Coordinate shunting operations for pre-loading and unloading.
• Maintain clear communication with drivers with accurate start times and load details.
• Ensure orders are dispatched and delivered per customer specifications.
• Inform collection or delivery points of any delays.
• Assist in achieving and maintaining service levels with other departments.
• Allocate equipment to meet maintenance and service intervals as instructed by the maintenance planner.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policy and report all accidents.
