Job summary

Culina Group in Market Drayton is seeking a Transport Team Leader on a full-time permanent basis. The role leads the Transport Operations Team and driver team, planning daily company and third-party resources, ensuring clear instructions and full vehicle utilisation.

Shift pattern 4 on 4 off, 18:30–06:30. You will allocate drivers and vehicles, plan start times to meet despatch KPIs, liaise with third-party hauliers, and ensure orders are dispatched and delivered to customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising transport operations and driver teams.
• Ability to plan daily resources and coordinate with third-party hauliers.
• Knowledge of drivers hours and working time regulations.
• Health & Safety policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Transport Operations Team and driver team on a daily basis.
• Plan company and third-party resources to loads efficiently.
• Allocate drivers and vehicles to loads, considering holidays and sickness.
• Plan driver start times to meet despatch KPIs.
• Communicate with third-party hauliers to adhere to collection times.
• Coordinate shunting for pre-loading and unloading.
• Maintain clear communication of start times and load information to drivers.
• Ensure orders are dispatched and delivered per customer specs.
• Inform collection/delivery points of delays and maintain service levels.
• Allocate equipment for maintenance/service intervals as instructed.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policy and report any accidents.
