Job summary

Olleco is seeking a Transport Operations Manager to ensure the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of depot operations. You will manage routing, resources and a skilled driving team to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Depot General Manager, you will lead safety culture, fleet maintenance, compliance and performance across multiple sites, with a focus on process discipline, training, and engaging staff to drive continuous improvement and cost

Qualifications

• Holds current Transport Management CPC.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification required (or willingness and capability to complete as a matter of urgency).
• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• HEALTH & SAFETY - Responsible for the safety culture in the driving team and the safe execution of all operations and driving activities at the depot.
• SAFETY PROCEDURES - Ensure all contractors have the appropriate permit-to-work paperwork in place.
• FLEET COMPLIANCE - Ensure site remains fully compliant and that daily checks are completed by drivers.
• MAINTENANCE - Schedule maintenance and ensure roadworthiness of all vehicles and equipment.
• LINE MANAGEMENT - Manage the team to maximise engagement and retention while delivering business goals safely.
• COMPLIANCE - Depot compliance checks, tachograph data handling and regulatory requirements.
• ROUTING - Ensure efficient routing to maximise round efficiency and waste collection.
• ADMINISTRATION - Complete paperwork, payroll documentation and signatures.
• WASTE MANAGEMENT - Transport waste to depots and third parties in line with regulations.
• SUPPORT - Provide support to General Manager and cover key tasks.
• GENERAL - Provide general site support and undertake project work.
