Job summary

Wellocks is seeking a strategic Head of Transport to lead the national transport operation and drive service, safety and cost efficiency. You will manage a network of depots, overseeing planning, compliance and driver training while partnering with the leadership team to shape the future of the transport function.

Qualifications

• CPC Transport Manager (International Road Haulage) Level 3 is essential.
• Significant transport leadership experience in a fast-paced operations environment.
• Strong understanding of transport compliance, fleet management and logistics best practice.
• Experience leading multi-site transport teams and delivering improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage KPIs and engage stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the national transport operation across multiple depots.
• Ensure full compliance with Operator Licence requirements and transport legislation.
• Deliver transport strategies that optimise efficiency, service and cost performance.
• Manage transport budgets and key performance indicators.
• Identify and implement operational improvement and optimisation projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business as a leadership team member.
