Job summary

Olleco in Cannock is seeking an Assistant Transport Operations Manager to support our Midlands West depot and driver teams. The role focuses on daily vehicle checks, training delivery, and safe, compliant operations.

You will work hours 0600-1430, with occasional 04:00 starts for driver checks, and earn £30,000 per year plus pension and medical benefits. The position is on-site and offers development opportunities within a values-driven company.

Qualifications

• IOSH Managing Safely certification or willingness to acquire quickly.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in a transport or logistics role.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Class 2 License desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, training and assistance to Olleco drivers.
• Contribute to the smooth running of our Midlands West depot.
• Focus on health & safety, safety procedures, compliance, maintenance, training, administration and rounds.
• Make sure daily vehicle checks are completed by drivers and damage or defects are reported.
• Support in induction training, training evaluations and refresher training as required.
• Assist in ensuring working time checks, DQC and government licence checks are carried out.
• Complete all paperwork and IT systems for your work and that of the drivers.
