Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Doncaster is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to lead the site transport operation for the B&Q account. You will drive safety, service and costs while developing a high-performing team and ensuring compliance across regulatory requirements.

The role is full-time, permanent, 48 hours per week with 5 from 7 shifts and rotating hours from 06:00–16:00 and 09:00–19:00. Salary up to £35,500 plus pension and leave benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations environment with transport compliance knowledge.
• Demonstrated people management experience, ideally in a unionised environment.
• Experience using scheduling and driver management systems such as Microlise / FTA.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day transport operation, managing safety, service, cost and people performance against KPIs.
• Motivate and manage the Operations Team, including recruitment and performance reviews.
• Plan and organise driver and vehicle rotas to meet daily/weekly targets.
• Ensure H&S compliance, O-Licence, Road Traffic Act, tachograph policies.
• Deliver a high-quality service and maintain customer confidence.
• Manage budgets, vehicle checks, hygiene programmes and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement and cross-site collaboration.
