Job summary

Menzies Distribution Solutions is seeking an experienced Transport Operations Manager to lead the Knowsley and Oldham depots. You will direct daily, weekly and monthly activities, provide leadership, training and development of the workforce, and ensure customer requirements are met while driving cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading transport operations and teams.
• Budget management responsibilities.
• Knowledge of H&S legislation and IOSH qualification preferred.
• Experience with transport management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• CPC holder - desirable.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the operational team across Knowsley and Oldham.
• Ensure customer requirements and KPIs are met.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve MPG and route efficiency.
• Maintain health and safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders daily.
