Job summary

Veolia in Portsmouth is seeking a Transport Service Coordinator to oversee day-to-day service delivery, route planning and driver coordination, ensuring on-time performance and compliance.

You will communicate with customers and stakeholders, analyse data, and support drivers on route issues while upholding safety and regulatory standards. The role offers a competitive salary, 15% bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste/transport/logistics industries.
• Understanding of transport compliance and working time directives (WTD).
• Excellent communication across drivers, frontline staff and customers.
• Ability to organise a busy workload and work at pace.
• Resilience to challenge drivers professionally and constructively on performance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of service delivery including route planning and driver coordination.
• Communicating with customers and stakeholders and providing status updates.
• Completing debriefs with frontline staff and reporting necessary actions or updates.
• Face-to-face and telephone engagement with drivers to address route issues.
• Reporting safety concerns or incidents and encouraging stop-the-job when unsafe.
• Ensuring Veolia on-site compliance (WTD, O' licence and transport compliance).
