Job summary

Streamline Services Consultancy Limited in Tilbury is seeking a motivated Transport Coordinator to join their transport operation. You will support drivers, coordinate daily activities and help ensure operations run smoothly.

Ideal candidates have experience in transport/logistics, strong communication, and good organizational skills. You will work with transport planners and customer service to maintain high service standards and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, warehousing or fleet operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and willing to learn transport management systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key contact for drivers, providing updates on schedules, routes and daily operational requirements.
• Monitor driver attendance and support the day-to-day management of driver activities.
• Assist with transport planning, vehicle allocation and resource coordination.
• Respond to driver queries and help resolve operational challenges as they arise.
• Ensure delivery paperwork, proof of delivery documents and compliance records are completed accurately.
• Support driver onboarding, inductions and training when required.
• Work alongside transport planners and customer service teams to maintain efficient operations and high service standards.
• Help identify and resolve issues that could affect delivery schedules or operational performance.
