Job summary

Streamline Search is representing a client seeking a Transport Co-ordinator to support safe, efficient and compliant movement of materials and fabricated steel across the UK. You will provide administrative and coordinating support to transport operations, collaborating with drivers, project teams and internal departments to ensure deliveries are planned and records maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, administration or coordination roles.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with databases or logistics management systems is advantageous.
• Strong communication with drivers, customers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of transport compliance processes or fleet operations beneficial.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Experience in construction/manufacturing/engineering sectors advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day admin support to the Transport Department and wider operations.
• Coordinate deliveries and collections per project requirements and site schedules.
• Liaise with project managers to confirm delivery dates and transport requirements.
• Maintain transport records including documentation, driver files and compliance paperwork.
• Support route planning and communicate schedules to drivers and site teams.
• Maintain driver hours, vehicle servicing, maintenance schedules, fuel usage and mileage records.
• Ensure transport documentation meets DVSA and company requirements.
• Assist FORS compliance by maintaining records and audits.
• Process delivery paperwork and load documentation.
• Assist with vehicle bookings, inspections and repairs as required.
• Maintain driver training and certification records; assist with inductions.
• Prepare documentation for audits and inspections.
• Liaise with drivers, subcontractors, customers and internal teams to resolve queries.
• Identify opportunities to improve transport systems and administrative procedures.
• Maintain high standards of organisation in transport office and yard; promote safe practices.
• Provide support and cover for the Transport Manager when required.
