Job summary

Newly Weds Foods Limited is seeking an experienced Logistics Scheduler in Ossett to coordinate finished goods orders from internal and external warehouses. The role ensures timely production, optimal carrier utilisation and cost control within the budget set by the Logistics Manager.

You will liaise with purchasing, planning and customer services to align material flow, loads, and delivery times, while monitoring transport costs and haulier performance. 8:30am–17:00pm, on-site role.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience of warehousing and logistics.
• Confident self-starter with good communication skills.
• Negotiation, delegation and problem solving skills.
• A good level of IT knowledge.
• Good analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst remaining professional.
• Proven ability to simultaneously undertake several tasks.

Responsibilities

• Schedule customers’ orders on a daily basis.
• Schedule orders from external warehouse sites.
• Ensure service levels are maintained within budgeted guidelines.
• Manage contract vehicles and drivers within legal guidelines.
• Book approved subcontract hauliers for overspill loads at best rates.
• Coordinate with customer services and planning to ensure timely production.
