They pride themselves on delivering excellent service and are seeking a Transport General Manager - 3PL Contract Logistics to oversee the end-to-end group sector Transport function.

The Role:

As the Transport General Manager, you will oversee multi-site Transport operations, managing a team of over 300 employees and 400+ vehicles. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading the national planning team of 6 experts.
• Managing Transport Health & Safety, Driver Training & Risk Assessments.
• Overseeing an annual budget of approximately £50m.
• Ensuring compliance, safety, and maintenance across operations.
• Optimizing logistics operations through internal synergy and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Implementing best practices and utilizing TMS & Planning platforms effectively.
• Supporting and developing team members.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in Logistics, Distribution, and Supply Chain - Essential.
• National/International CPC qualification - Essential.
• 5+ years in Transport General Management within a 3PL/FMCG/Retail environment - Essential.
• Proven experience managing large operations (>250 headcount, >350 assets) - Essential.
• Budget management experience of over £40m - Essential.
• Passion for people development, service excellence, and Continuous Improvement.
• Experience dealing with Unions - Advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on talent development - Essential.
• Lean Six Sigma / Prince2 certifications - Advantageous.
• Must be able to commute to Northamptonshire 5 days/week - Essential.
