Loom Talent is recruiting a hands-on Transport First Line Manager for a busy operation in Southall. You will lead and develop a team of 30+ drivers and admin staff, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery operations.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, KPI management, and adherence to transport regulations. A competitive salary is offered: £38,000-£40,200 per annum, plus a pension scheme, holiday entitlement, and a learning and development benefits platform.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in transport/logistics
• Experience managing a team of 30+ colleagues
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations and working time rules
• Experience monitoring KPIs and operational performance
• Ability to plan resources and manage attendance/performance/discipline

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day transport operations ensuring high service, safety and compliance.
• Manage and support a team of 30+ drivers and admin staff.
• Oversee dispatch, route performance, fleet availability and recovery.
• Monitor KPIs and take proactive actions to maintain service levels.
• Manage attendance, absence, performance and disciplinary processes.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, working time, vehicle and transport regulations.
• Support workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Lead shift handovers and ensure effective communication.
• Identify risks and implement mitigations; drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational issues.
