This senior role is responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient running of the transport operation, while leading a team and driving improvements across service, cost and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a transport operation in logistics, distribution, FMCG or contract logistics.
• Strong people management and leadership experience.
• Good understanding of transport compliance, legislation and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring a safe, compliant and efficient service.
• Lead, manage and develop the transport team, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee route planning and fleet utilisation within legal, operational and customer requirements.
• Monitor KPIs including OTIF, service levels, vehicle utilisation and driver performance.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, policies and health & safety.
