Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting a Transport Coordinator for the Minworth site on a full-time permanent basis. The role focuses on planning driver and vehicle resources to meet delivery and collection deadlines while complying with WTD and drivers’ hours legislation.

The position offers a salary of £31,986 per annum and 4 on 4 off days, 6am-6pm. You will collaborate across departments to optimise routes and maintain service levels and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of tachograph rules and driving regulations.
• Planning and organising skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Good IT skills including MS Office with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
• High level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Creating and updating daily run summaries to meet delivery and collection deadlines.
• Ensuring service levels are achieved with other departments.
• Using the Driver rota to plan runs within shift patterns and available hours.
• Ensuring legal compliance regarding defects, services, MOTs, etc.
• Maintaining clear communication with drivers regarding start times, load information, and directions.
• Assisting with disciplinary hearings and return-to-work procedures to maintain standards.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join our team in Minworthon a full timepermanent basis.

Salary:£31,986 per annum.

Working hours:4 on 4 off days, 6am-6pm.

The purpose of aTransport Coordinatoris toeffectively plan driver and vehicle resources to achieve delivery/collection times, whilst optimising resources and adhering to WTD and driver’s hours’ legislation.

Key Duties of aTransport Coordinator:

• Creating and updating daily run summary in order to achieve delivery and collection deadlines.
• Ensuring that service levels are achieved and maintained, in conjunction with other departments.
• Using the Driver rota, planning runs according to shift pattern and available hours, taking into account holidays and sickness.
• Ensuring legal compliance regarding any defects, services, MOT’s, etc.
• Maintaining clear and effective communication with drivers; communicating accurate start times, load information, directions, additional shifts, etc.
• Ensuring adherence to all statutory and legal requirements, as well as all health and safety/safe systems of work policies.
• Assisting with disciplinary hearings, return to work meetings, substance misuse procedures, etc in order to maintain standards and ensure that employees work at an appropriate level.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge and experience of tachograph/driving rules and regulations.
• Planning and organising skills, with the ability to work efficiently and accurately to meet set deadlines under pressure.
• Good IT skills including MS Office packages with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours.
• High level of attention to detail.
