Job summary

Great Bear, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting a Transport Compliance Supervisor to join the Mansfield depot on a full-time permanent basis. The role is a day shift, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, with a salary of £30,000 per year.

You will manage compliance activities for the depot, prepare regular reports, chase bookings, maintain systems (Nvolve and Evotix), ensure ADA and DCPC checks, and support the team in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of commercial vehicle compliance and ancillary equipment.
• Experience in managing commercial vehicle compliance and scheduling processes.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams and stay organised.
• Customer-facing experience or dealing with challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Manage compliance activity for the depot and ensure bookings align with compliance objectives.
• Provide daily/weekly reports on compliance status of the fleet.
• Follow up to ensure vehicle arrivals/attendance by mobile engineers and address no-shows.
• Update systems with accurate details and monitor work in progress.
• Chase and obtain necessary documentation within timeframes and share with relevant teams.
• Support team members as needed within the wider team remit.
• Track service provider performance and conduct quarterly reviews.
• Monitor and control non-contract repair costs.
• Manage the Nvolve training platform to maintain >98% compliance.
• Oversee the Evotix system and close cases within 10 working days with retraining where needed.
• Ensure ADA and DCPC checks for drivers are completed annually.

Job Description

We would like to present you with an exciting opportunity for a Transport Compliance Supervisor to join our team in Mansfield on a full time permanent basis.

Salary

£30,000 per annum.

Working hours

Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.

Key Duties of a Transport Compliance Supervisor

• Manage compliance activity for the depot, ensuring events are booked in line with company’s compliance objectives, chase each booking is completed thoroughly and appropriate escalations carried out.
• Provide daily/weekly reports relating to compliance status of the company’s fleet.
• Complete follow up activities at stipulated times to ensure vehicle arrival at the vendor or attendance by the mobile engineer and take required action for 'no-shows'.
• Proactively check work in progress, updating systems with appropriate detail accurately.
• Proactively chase and obtain correct documentation within required timeframes and ensure the immediate onward provision of documents relating to specific vehicles and assets.
• Support other team members when required, assisting with any activities, which are within the wider team’s remit.
• Track service provider performance and carry out quarterly reviews with the main service providers.
• Track financial non-con repair costs and actively manage individuals.
• Manage the Nvolve training platform and ensure it maintains above 98% compliance.
• Manage the Evotix system and manage the closure of cases raised within 10 working days. Ensure all processes have been captured including re-training, Dp’s.
• Drivers are fully assessed and all ADA’s and DCPC are completed annually.
• Agency driver inductions are planned and agreed.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of commercial vehicle and ancillary equipment, compliance requirements.
• Experience in an environment managing commercial vehicle compliance, and full familiarity with scheduling, booking, and managing slippage.
• Proven team worker, with drive, enthusiasm and a 'can do' mind-set, supportive of colleagues and willing to get involved.
• Experience in a customer facing role, or a role that involved extensive direct customer interaction and dealing with difficult challenges.
• Highly organised, able to manage multiple work streams effectively.
• Knowledge of the sector and relevant operational practices.
