Job description

Pay Rate: £26,000

Grade: O

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: MON-FRI (6:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00)

Location: Northampton - NN4 7BN

DHL is seeking an experienced Transport Clerk to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of all scheduled transport activities.

What does the role entail?

• Manage customer proof of deliveries for scanning/uploading and action missing proof of deliveries and returns.
• Contact hauliers about delivery issues, raise incident reports, and agree on corrective actions.
• Arrange same-day deliveries as required.
• Conduct daily briefings and de-briefings with drivers.
• Support the network to ensure operations comply with Earned Recognition, DHL Policies, and Legal Compliance standards.
• Monitor and maintain legal and DHL compliance across all operating centres within the Travis Perkins Contract.

What do we need from you?

• Previous administrative experience.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent PC skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, internally and externally.
• Knowledge of Tachomaster (desirable).
• Ability to follow operational, legal, and H&S procedures.
• Knowledge in process management, dispatching outbound loads, conducting final quality checks on-site, and ensuring correct trailer usage.
