Job summary

DHL Supply Chain, Daventry, is seeking a Transport Clerk to join our warehouse team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves handling driver queries, data entry accuracy, and compliance with safety and service standards.

You will support the dispatch and debrief of drivers, maintain records, and escalate issues to managers as needed. A proactive communicator with attention to detail will thrive in this position.

Qualifications

• Proven administrative experience is required.
• Experience working within a Transport Operation (Desirable).
• Excellent IT skills - All Microsoft packages.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Has previous experience in systems such Microlise, Taco Master (Desirable).
• Attention to detail and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for driver queries, escalating issues to first line managers as required.
• Maintain accurate data entry and filing in line with compliance and audit requirements.
• Support compliance with legal, corporate, and customer requirements for safety, service, and data integrity.
• Escalate driver concerns, performance issues, or welfare matters to first line managers as appropriate.
• Encourage compliance with site rules, safety standards, and operational procedures during shift interactions.
• Dispatch and debrief drivers, ensuring all paperwork and system entries are completed accurately and on time.

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off / 6:00 -18:00 / 18:00 -6:00
