Job summary

DHL Germany is seeking a Transport Administrator in Wednesbury to support a busy transport operation. You will be the go‑to behind the scenes, keeping daily handoffs, paperwork and driver schedules running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires transport/logistics experience, strong accuracy, and solid MS Office skills. Training on Paragon, Microlise and Tachomaster is possible, with a focus on compliance and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a transport, logistics or distribution environment is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using transport management systems such as Paragon (Desirable) Microlise and/or Tachomaster.
• Understanding of driver hours regulations, Working Time Directive requirements and transport compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
• Ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support manager with accurate and timely daily briefing and de-brief of drivers.
• Prepare and reconcile delivery paperwork and PODs.
• Monitor vehicle routes and driver schedules and escalate issues as needed.
• Support the transport team with a variety of admin and operational tasks.
• Ensure compliance with policies, transport legislation and health & safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records and transport documentation.
• Tachomaster admin and reporting.

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Supporting manager with accurate and timely daily brief & de-brief of drivers to the DHL standard
• Preparation & reconciliation of delivery paperwork, POD's.
• Monitoring vehicle routes and driver schedules through Microlise, escalating issues where necessary
• Supporting the wider transport team with a variety of administrative and operational tasks
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, transport legislation and Health & Safety standards
• Identifying and reporting any operational concerns or compliance issues in a timely manner
• Maintaining accurate records and transport documentation
• Tachomaster admin & reporting
